About Lily’s Guide

An easy-to-use place to find reliable health resources and know what to do when you need help.

Our goal

When something goes wrong, like an injury, a sudden illness, or a moment of crisis, it can be hard to know where to go or what to do. Lily’s Guide brings the essentials together in one place: a way to find nearby care, direct links to crisis support, and short, step-by-step guides written in plain language.

How we create content

  • Every guide is based on current guidance from established public health and medical organizations, and links to its sources.
  • We keep steps short and practical, and clearly say when to call 911 or see a professional.
  • Crisis line numbers are checked against each organization’s official website.
  • Content was last reviewed on October 14, 2026.

Medical disclaimer

The information on this site is for general educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment from a qualified health professional. Always ask a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or other qualified provider about a medical condition or treatment.

If you think you or someone else may be having a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. If you are thinking about suicide or are in emotional distress, call or text 988 in the U.S.

Health guidance can change, and situations differ. Never delay getting care, or ignore professional advice, because of something you read here. First aid steps are not a replacement for hands-on training. Consider a first aid and CPR course from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Places shown in Find Care come from OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or out of date. Listing a place is not an endorsement. Always confirm hours, services, and costs directly with the provider.

Privacy

  • No accounts and no tracking. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
  • Your location stays private. If you choose “Use my location” or type an address in Find Care, it is sent only to free public OpenStreetMap-based services (the Nominatim address search, run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation — privacy policy — and public Overpass API servers that look up nearby places). Map images also load from OpenStreetMap’s servers. We do not store your location.
  • Phone and text links open your own device’s phone or messaging app. We never see those calls or messages.
  • Pages you’ve visited may be saved on your device so the guides work offline.
